Cube Scheme in Charlotte Street becomes the new home for the British Olympics & Paralympics Association

The British Olympic Association (BOA) and the British Paralympic Association (BPA), also known as ParalympicsGB, have reached agreement to bring their two organisations under one roof.

The two organisations will co-locate in newly refurbished offices at 60 Charlotte Street, in central London, by the end of September. This new co-location will bring tremendous benefits for both parties and the sports and athletes that they represent.

Charlotte Street was selected as an ideal option for both the BOA and the BPA as it is in the heart of London and easily accessible to many other stakeholders in the sporting landscape.

Andy Hunt, BOA Chief Executive, commented on the office move:

This is an exciting new beginning for the BOA – a tangible sign that we are more collaborative than ever before. This is about us looking at the very best working practices and developing a more modern and dynamic culture…..we are delighted at the prospect of moving in to Charlotte Street with ParalympicsGB.

Cube acted as Project Managers for the scheme on behalf of developers PPG Southern Ltd. For more information on the project Please click on the Mixed Use section of our projects.

Top Safety Accreditation for Cube

Safe Contractor LogoCube is one of the latest group of successful companies to join a leading edge scheme, designed to help industry improve its safety record.

We have recently received accreditation from SAFEcontractor, a programme which recognises
very high standards of health and safety practise amongst UK contractors.

Our application for SAFEcontractor accreditation was driven by the need for a uniform standard across the business.

Safecontractor is operated by international safety, health and environmental risk management specialists, the National Britannia Group.Darran Hughes, Operations Director for Safecontractor at National Britannia said, ”Major organisations can no longer run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies.

“More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way
that Cube has done. The firms’ high standard has set an example, which hopefully will be followed by
other companies within the sector.”

Under the SAFEcontractor system, businesses undergo a vetting process, which examines health and
safety procedures and their track record for safe practice.
